Ever feel like you're on the outside looking in with your dream of becoming a sexologist, sex therapist, sex researcher? Come join established professionals and other like-minded students at the SSSS/WR Symposium in beautiful, sunny Palm Springs.
We've constructed this program with your interests in mind. Present your research at the Student Poster Session (Submit a Proposal). There will be a special student outing, poolside fun, and the first ever Student Speed Mentoring event where students can sign up to meet, network, and rub elbows with established sexologists and plenary speakers.
Student Speed Mentoring: (Friday at 4pm)
What's speed mentoring? Think speed dating except you're not looking for a date, you're looking to network and socialize with some big names in our field. Mentors will remain stationed while students rotate to each mentor. Ask them for professional advice, ask questions, exchange business cards, and make connections. One of my wishes as a student attending conferences was to be in the professional circle instead of feeling like an outsider on the sidelines. Here's your chance to dive head first into the sexology field and make the most of your symposium experience.

- Charles Moser (former SSSS WR president, leading researcher in the BDSM field)
- Doug Braun Harvey (clinician specializing in sexuality and substance use)
- Lou Paget (best selling author and sex educator)
- Mark Schoen (media expert and founder of sexsmartfilms.com)
- Milton Diamond (former SSSS WR president, leading researcher in the transgender and orientation fields)
- Olga Perez-Stable Cox (former SSSS WR president and sex educator/therapist)
Sign up for this event at the registration desk when you check-in for the Symposium on Friday.
Student Volunteers:
We have a student volunteer list for students interested in volunteering for registration reimbursement. We will be using 10 student volunteers. Those
who are first on the waitlist will have priority. We will work our way down the list until we have 10 registered students who agree to volunteer. You will lose your place on the list if you have not registered by March 31st. If you would like to add your name to the list, please email me at SexologyDoc@aol.com.
Gift Baskets and Gift Bags:
All students who register for the full symposium will receive a gift bag valued at more than $250. Wait! ... If I register for around $160, I get over $250 worth of free sex stuff? Yes!
In America, we call that a great deal! In the sex world, we call that more bang for the buck.

Student Outing: (Saturday evening)
To accommodate our wide range of student ages, our student outing will be 18 and over, with a 21 and over beverage option. Remember you're ID's; otherwise you're hanging out in the hotel lobby or watching reruns of Sex and the City in your room. Here's your chance to let your hair down with your fellow students without the professional umbrella hanging over you.
