How to Submit a Proposal

To propose a Research Report with specific findings, an Inquiry Update about an ongoing project related to sexual health or other aspects of sexuality, or a Student Poster Presentation, email the following to Jack Morin, Ph.D.:

  1. Presentation title, complete contact information, and whether it's a Research Report, Inquiry Update, or Student Poster.

  2. A brief abstract (approximately 250 words) describing your research question(s), methodology, and key findings or, if this is an ongoing inquiry, your major hypotheses and developing ideas.

  3. One clear learning objective for your presentation.

  4. Include this statement in your email: "I agree that if this proposal is accepted, I or a qualified substitute will present it at the Symposium. I also agree to register for the Symposium within 14 days of acceptance."

  5. Your name and date will be considered your signature.

Presenters of Research Reports or Inquiry Updates should prepare for a 30-minute presentation, to be followed by approximately 25 minutes of discussion. Handouts are encouraged because Powerpoint presentations are not possible in the roundtable format.

Proposals for Student Poster Presentations should also include a brief description of your ideas for the visual display of your work (display panels will be provided). Awards will be given for the two best Student Posters.

Submissions will be reviewed by the Program Committee.
