Couples' Responses to Caverjet, Muse and Viagra

The diagnosis and treatment of erectile dysfunction requires a multi-disciplinary approach, since the etiology of this problem almost always is multifactorial. Ideally, the urologist collaborates with a sex therapist, and they both work with the couple.

Collaborating with physicians in Hawaii, I find that couples' counseling before and during consultations with the urologist remains a cornerstone for the multifactorial treatment for erectile difficulties. My consultations with physician's groups (including urologists, of course), prostate cancer groups, and with couples seeking treatment for erectile dysfunction are detailed, with emphasis on typical relationship issues when impotence is the presenting problem. Finally, I compare and evaluate the responses of couples using the "Caverjet" vs. couples using "Muse" and "Viagra". Satisfaction with any intervention depends on physician and patient awareness, training and attitudes.
