Development and Validation of a Measure of Sexual Attitudes
This study describes the development
and validation of the Trueblood Sexual Attitudes Questionnaire, created
to measure attitudes about one's personal sexual behavior and attitudes
about the sexual behavior of others. Using human sexuality instructors,
faculty and graduate students trained in psychometric theory to evaluate
the questions, a questionnaire was developed and given to approximately
400 college undergraduates. Internal consistency, coefficient alpha, and
factor analysis data will be provided, as well as gender comparisons. This
masters thesis project questionnaire is designed to be used to determine
the effectiveness of sexuality education in changing attitudes.
