General Sessions are eligible for CE for all psychologists, California MFTs, California LCSWs, and California Nurses.
CERTIFICATES OF ATTENDANCE: The Society will issue certificates
of attendance for this regional meeting, excluding the continuing education
workshops, the luncheon, special interest group meetings, business meetings,
and receptions. Certificates of attendance are awarded for attendance only
and do not imply evaluation of learning or provision of learning objectives
or activities. A certificate of attendance may be earned for up to 22 hours
attendance at this meeting. This certificate is free.
CE COST: There is a separate cost for attending any pre-conference
workshop, whether or not you intend to earn CE. Doors close 15 minutes
after the start of all CE workshops. Late arrivals will not earn CE, and
refunds will not be made. There is no additional charge for General Sessions.
INTENT: CE is intended to meet the needs of professionals
with terminal degrees. Press persons and undergraduates are not eligible
to attend pre-conference workshops and SSSS maintains the right to refuse
registration to anyone deemed unqualified to attend. It is the professional's
responsibility to determine the acceptability of these programs for specific
licensure or certification needs.
APPROVAL BY PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS FOR SSSS TO OFFER CONTINUING
EDUCATION: SSSS strives to seek approvals to offer CE from professional
organizations that represent our membership's needs. In doing so, we have
to meet strict criteria of those organizations. In all CE workshops,
participants must sign in, complete a participant's satisfaction form,
and complete an assessment of learning. Only pre-conference workshops and
General Sessions meet the criteria for the approval organizations mentioned
below. For all approvals, CE credit may be awarded upon the full completion
of the CE sessions. SSSS maintains responsibility for the program.
At the time of this program printing, SSSS has received the following
approvals for continuing education
PSYCHOLOGISTS: SSSS is approved by the American Psychological
Association (APA) to offer continuing education credit for psychologists.
SSSS maintains responsibility for the program. Workshops and general sessions
may earn CE.
CALIFORNIA PSYCHOLOGISTS: As of January, 2002, APA Sponsor credit
is accepted for MCEP credit in California.
AASECT: A total of 29 hours of AASECT CEs are available by attending
the sessions and workshops. These CEs may be applied toward AASECT certification
or renewal of certification.
NATIONAL BOARD FOR CERTIFIED COUNSELORS: SSSS is approved to
offer continuing education for National Certified Counselors. We adhere
to NBCC Continuing Education Guidelines. Provider Number 5926. 10 contact
hours is equivalent to one CEU. NBCC areas covered in each workshop
is available on our website.
SOCIAL WORKERS/COUNSELORS: SSSS, 1032, is approved as
a provider for social work continuing education by the American Association
of State Social Work Boards (AASSWB) (1-800-225-6880) through the Approved
Continuing Education (ACE) program. States under the AASSWB are:
Alaska, Alabama, Georgia, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, New Mexico, North
Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Virgin
Islands, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
CALIFORNIA MFT and LCSW RELICENSURE: SSSS is approved to offer
up to 16 hours of CE for MFT and LCSW relicensure requirements in California
by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences under Provider Number: PCE
1262. Workshops and general sessions may earn CE.
CALIFORNIA NURSES: SSSS is approved by the California Board
of Registered Nurses, Provider #13479, to offer continuing education through
the pre-conference workshops and General Sessions. Contact hours are determined
by the actual number of hours in each session. Workshops and general sessions
may earn CE.
SSSS also has approvals for CE that are limited to certain states

REFUND POLICY
Registration will be refunded in full if written notice of cancellation
is received by the Registrar by March 27, 2002. After that date,
a $100 administrative fee will be charged. No refunds will be made for
cancellations received after April 3, 2002.
PROGRAM CHANGES
SSSS reserves the right to make any program changes without advanced
notice.
FEE REIMBURSEMENT FOR STUDENT HELP
Student members of SSSS may receive partial reimbursement of registration
